So we got back from the adventure trip a couple of weeks ago, and we were all living in the glory of defeating the mountains, the trails, and the port-o-potties, when all of a sudden i began to itch. Which for me, living in the mosquito infested state of Fl, is not really out of the ordinary.
So like any self preserving man, i decided to remedy my itch all by my self, you know using man medicine like rubbing alcohol, a serrated pocket knife, and oatmeal surprise.
So you could imagine my surprise when after 4 days with no relief in site, and in fact in stead of fading away, it began to take over my body... i reluctantly surrender my homeopathic will and went to the doctor.
What i believed to be poison oak or poison ivy... ended up being Lyme disease.
So needless to say i am on three prescriptions, and i now have a new found vendetta towards ticks.

Wow, I'm so sorry this has happened to you, Bobby. Of all people, our fearless leader!!! I pray you will recover fully & quickly. Thank you for all the encouragement and leadership you provided to us all on the trip.
