It my first day back from the REVO Adventure Trip. It was amazing. I was really scared to go, knowing very few people, but everyone welcomed me so well. Its difficult thinking that in August I will be looking for a job and that job may take me away from Tampa and REVO.
Doing all the trips and things sound fun, but its starting to take its toll. Student Ministry is so much more than preaching. Its so easy to get caught up in it and miss the point of it. It happens to me ALL the time. Today in staff meeting I sat listened to stories of people meeting with God because of The Crossing. Sitting there, sore from the weekend, just wanting to sleep, I was reminded that past the fun, past the stress, past the craziness, is an eternal purpose for what those in ministry do. Whether that be being a Adventure Tour Guide like Doug, the guy that hosted the Revo Trip, or that someone like those in the office at the church. Ultimately we all are serving for the same purpose and that renews me when nothing else will!

Bobby - stumbled by via Big T's blog from someone else's blog... Don't know if you remember, but Jen and I were out a few months ago visiting the crossing - we had lunch somewhere cool with you and your wife. Anyway it was a great day and we enjoyed our time in the tampa area - hope all is well! drop me a line sometime.
