So if you are wondering why there hasn't been any blogs in the last week or so, Me and 9 other Revolutionaries were in New Orleans to lend a hand and show Gods Love.
It still blows my mind that there is still as much devastation as there was, even after two years of recovery work. I have to say that i am extremely proud of our team, and of Katie Tyler who planned and lead the whole mission.
Mercy is always a tough thing to give out with out judgment. I think for me the best part of our trip was watching our team come to the conclusion that we were not called to play judge and jury as to who needed our help, as to who deserved our time... we were simply called to give it, with our judgment, without blame.
and that is pretty freaking hard to do.
I can stand back on the other side of this trip, and thank God for all the favor that he has mercifully shown to me and my family, and thank him that i maybe... just maybe have had a small glimpse as to what unconditional love means, and how that i didn't even come close to possessing.
