Well...it is so good to be back home, seriously I love getting the chance to get away for a week or so, i love getting the opportunity to not have any real responsibility, and i love gorging myself in the delicacies of vacation food...but i hate the way i feel when i come back home.
No hold on just a minute...I don't hate coming home...its just that i hate the feeling of being overwhelmed with meetings, and billions of emails, school work, more meetings, and having to work overtime at the gym to work off vacation food. I hate feeling like i don't have enought time to meet the need of you guys.
Last night it felt SO good to be back here with you guys, and at the same time i felt so out of the loop. To be honest with you...i was more than a little bummed at the turn out...but more than that i was stressing over feeling out of the loop.
So this morning as i was praying for as many of you as i could remember by name (i surprised my self as to how many names i know), as i was praying for us as a generation, as a movement...as revolution. My prayer was that we...you and i...would always feel connected, that revolution would be a place for the disconnected to find a home, a home with people who love them (even if they sing the wrong note...wow, i sucked that one up last night) and a home where God is continually shapping us in love.
I laugh at myself this morning...but last night when i got home, i was more than a lil stressed. The way this starts...the way we become that family for those around us...all stats wen we show up...show up yes to Monday night...but that is only the start...we, you and me, have to show up for people, even when they don't show up.
I want to be more passionate to fight for those who for some reason or another have fallen through the cracks. I want REVO to be a place of excitement and love...because God is really doing something.
I am learning to trust that God is moving...even when i feel overwhelmed, and out of the loop.
