So we all have new years resolutions...right? Every one of us, wants to read more, loose weight (except for those of you with crazy hyper active metabolisums...we all hate people like you), spend more time with the one's we love.
Most every year we take a good hard look at our lives, see the things we want to change, but rarely have the follow through behind the words.
We call our selves the church, we call ourselves forgiven, we claim to be in love with God...but we have little to no follow through. And Pretty soon, our word, our claims, and our convictions begin to find themselves in the same dreaded category as our limp noodles resolutions, losing all sense of believability.
This year...lets us make a sudden and momentous change a "Revolution" if you will, not simple to loose weight or become more well read, but to be the church we were meant to be, to live love and forgiveness, just as we have been loved and forgiven, and to make the time to prove it.
Thats my prayer...thats my struggle...thats my revolution.
